This listing is for one of four available mushroom butter crocks. The styles are as follows:
#1: Glazed with an albany slip brown top, holds one stick of butter
#2: Glazed with a deep red top with mottled white specks, holds one stick of butter
#3: Glazed with a burnt orange top with mottled white specks, holds one stick of butter
#4: Glazed with a burnt orange top with mottled white specks, holds closer to two sticks of butter. May be more likely to hold a block of Kerrygold.
All crocks are dishwasher safe. They are the French style, so they are meant to have water in the reservoir to create an air seal.
*Note: French butter bells may not be suited to your environment/climate. Keeping your crock in a cool place out of the sun may help, but sometimes butter crocks only work in mild climates where the butter doesn’t melt on the counter. These should also be used with *real* butter, and not butter spreads with oils, as those will soften too much at room temperature, and the crock will not work.
